Cable, coupons and house hunting

Most of our friends and family know that we have begun our house hunt.   We have been searching online for a while now and finally took the leap to start searching.  We saw some really great houses!  There are two that we really liked, there were a few others that were liked as well, but there are two that top the list.  The only problem is one is a little further out of town than we wanted and one is out of our price range.  We aren't ruling them out yet, we just need to figure out the part of town we really want to be in and if the home is worth being a little further out and if not, if we can get them to come down on the price of the other one.  We aren't putting all of our marbles in one bag though, we are still actively looking and will keep an open mind about the search.

We have been saving for a house for a while, but now that our search has become real to us and buying a house could be in our near future, we are cutting back.  The first to go was our cable.  Yes, that's right, I canceled our cable.  We had a HD DVR, another HD receiver, the sports package, HBO (this was free) and internet and it just seemed to be getting out of hand!  So now we have basic cable and internet and we will be saving over $100 month!  Ryan was not a huge fan at first, but he is now on board.  He has an XBOX that is connected to the internet, so he can still watch ESPN, which was his main concern.

The next cut back is eating out!  I did a previous post on eating out and cooking, but likely story, I did not stick to it.  But we went to dinner with some friends on Friday night and she introduced me to couponing.  I have tried in the past to use coupons, but apparently I was not using them wisely.  They are able to purchase groceries for $50 a week.  Imagine all of the savings!  I know in our household that would be a lot!  I am probably pretty late to the party, but at least I'm starting somewhere.  My friend has graciously offered to take me under her wing to teach me the ropes.  I have already started researching and printing coupons and I'm eager to start after Christmas!

Happy Thanksgiving

So I have been a little MIA lately, but life has been pretty hectic.  I can't believe it is already time for the holidays!  I can not wait to get my Christmas decorations out, but my husband has been adamant about waiting until after Thanksgiving!  Just a few more days now....

We are headed to Chicago to visit with family for the holiday.  It's a yearly tradition that we have Thanksgiving at my grandmother's house.  This year is extra special because my aunt and two uncles are coming in from Colorado with some of my cousins.  If only the rest of my cousins could make it as well.  We will certainly miss those who aren't with us!  This is the first year that Ryan will come home for Thanksgiving with me, even though it will be a very short trip for him (stupid jobs get in the way now that we are grown ups!) but I'm thankful that he is willing to make the trip!

I have much to be thankful for this year!  The Lord has truly blessed me and my family.
Many wishes for a very happy Thanksgiving!

Dinner Dilemma

I have a problem when it comes to dinnertime.  I am horrible at coming up with ideas for dinner.  When we got married I was sure I would be cooking more, well, it's come in waves, but I would say we eat out quite a bit.  I've used the excuse that it's hard to cook for two people, but I have finally figured out why I don't cook.  I never have any food in the house!  And that stems from my hatred for the grocery store.  I HATE going grocery shopping.

This always happens to me!!

Just the thought of it makes me cringe.  Tonight, instead of going grocery shopping, I dusted!  I found that more enjoyable, ha! I typically make Ryan go with me so I will “enjoy” grocery shopping.  We will usually buy food for a week maybe two weeks and then once we run out it’s back to eating out.  We end up with a lot of frozen foods and packaged things that will heat up easily.  Every time I go I swear I am never going to buy them again, and they end up in my cart every trip!  I love the idea of coming up with foods from scratch and eating fresh foods, but the fresh foods I buy always end up going bad before I use them.

Don't these look yummy!?

And I seriously loathe eating out all the time (plus it will save us some money to eat in) but somehow it always seems easier to go grab something than actually taking my butt to the grocery store.

I read Shine every week for recipes, but they always seems so hard and/or overwhelming, but practice makes perfect right?  I’m going to drag myself to the grocery store and buy items that I will actually use.  I’ve been considering going to one of those places that you pay to have someone show you how to make the meal and then you can take them home and freeze them (I know these places have a name, but I can’t think of it, probably why I haven’t done it, haha!).  So, moving forward I'm going to try really hard to have meals at home like this:

The Story of Miles

I've been trying to write about Miles for a while now, but every time I sit down at the computer he is in my lap.  He is a very active dog and he is currently chewing on a bone so I figure I have a few minutes.  Miles was a very unexpected gift.  On my way home from work two Thursdays ago (I can't believe we have had him for two weeks!) my mom called to talk to me about a dog our good friend Laura had found.  I had seen his pictures on Facebook but really did not paid any attention to him.  Well, as it turns out Laura and her husband were looking for a home for this sweet boy and my mom told me he would be the perfect dog for us.

We had friends from Mississippi coming to stay with us and were due to arrive any minute, but I called Ryan anyway and told him, "I don't know what I will do if you say no."  Ryan and I have wanted to get a dog for a while, but just assumed we would wait until we had a house.  Ryan was initially a little hesitant about getting a dog, but I convinced him to at least go meet him, so we had our friends come with us up to my parents house to bring our puppy home.

Miles was found at a MARTA train station somewhere in Decatur.  He had obviously been there a while because he was severely matted and obviously hungry and thirsty.  He was covered in ticks and flees, which is the reason he is completely shaved.  We found out a few days later that he had hookworms, but those are easily treated and he is back to normal.   We believe Miles is some sort of poodle mix.  At first we believed he was a Wheaten Terrier/Poodle mix but lately everyone we have talked to seems to think he is a Bichon/Poodle mix.  I think we will know more when his hair starts to grow out a little more.

Miles was a little timid at first, he wasn't eating or drinking much, he didn't even want treats, what dog does not like a treat!?  I think that just comes with being on the street for so long.  It only took him a few days to get into a routine of eating on a regular schedule.  The best part about Miles, he was already potty trained.  He (knock on wood) has not had an accident in the house!  He was so well behaved that we decided to give him free reign of the living room (everything he could get into was removed, or so we thought).  His reign was quickly taken away though.  He did great on Monday while we were at work, however Tuesday was another story.

We came home to quite the mess.

Which prompted us to purchase a new home for him during the day.

He has been much better (even if I do feel guilty for keeping him in there all day).  Our only issue right now is he keeps waking me up in the middle of the night.  We have tried keeping him in the kennel but he wakes up at 5am and starts whining.  We tried letting him sleep with us, which the first night worked beautiful, he slept through the night right in between us.  However, the second night I woke up to him chewing on Ryan’s xbox controller at 2:30am and then around 4am he was wondering through the bed and wanted to play as soon as he saw I was awake.  I don’t know how parents do it with kids.  This dog is making me sleep deprived.

We have truly loved having him in our home.  It's hard to think of him on the streets, I'm just glad he won't have that life anymore!  He is just one of the family now!

My sister's wedding

So I have been meaning to post some pictures of my sister's wedding but have been busy/lazy and haven't done it.  But here they are!  Blogger is being weird so they are all out of alignment and it's frustrating me, so I'm giving up, without any comments.  Not to mention my husband is a ten year old child trying to distract me saying "Is this annoying?" So I'm done for the night!  Enjoy!

Best Kept Secret (or something like that)

So I may be a little behind but I got the idea last week to go to the public library.  I saw that my list of books I wanted to read was quickly growing.  And since we are on a budget and the library is free, so why not.  I was so excited to get my new books especially going into the holiday weekend where I would be spending much of the time by myself.  Ryan had to work and most of our friends had gone out of town for the weekend (I’m not a complete dork).  Well I walk in, get my card and set out to find my books.  Nothing!  Every book that was on my list was checked out, on hold or just not there.  I was so let down.  So I put my name on the waiting list for the books I wanted and left empty handed.  And it’s not like there were a few people on the waiting list, on one of the books I was number 356!  There were 355 people in front of me, what a huge let down!  Well, as luck would have it the very next day one of my books came in!  So I ran over there after work and ended up picking up two books that were not on my list.  Well, good new folks, I have three books waiting on me at the library as of this morning.  I am now so overwhelmed with books I don’t know what to do!  I’m not complaining though, I’m so excited!  The only let down is that I don’t have a whole lot of time to read because this weekend we are helping my sister move and next weekend is her wedding!  It’s amazing how time flies!

Restless Nights

When I was in high school I had no problem staying up late, although I was known to fall asleep on top of my bed studying or something of the sort in the middle of the night. Once I reached college I continued to stay up late (usually talking on AIM to Ryan), but still managed to get up for my early morning classes with no problem. I’m not really sure when I started having difficulty staying awake but I believe it was sometime during my second semester at school. I noticed that I was really tired all the time and Ryan still teases me because I would fall asleep on the phone or computer while talking to him. At one point it got to be really embarrassing. I was sitting at a friend’s dorm hanging out with a bunch of people and proceeded to fall asleep on the couch in the middle of the “party”. My sophomore year I moved into an apartment with three girlfriends and we remained in that apartment until we graduated. There are numerous pictures of me falling asleep on the couch, on one of their beds while talking, driving in the car on road trips. You name a place, I have probably fallen asleep there. It was so easily noticeable that even my friends in Italy picked up on it right away because they liked to laugh at me falling asleep on our bus tours. All of this is in good humor which didn’t seem to be a problem because I could still stay out and live the college life. Once I graduated college things went downhill quickly. I no longer had a reason to stay up late but that still did not help my falling asleep on the couch any chance I sat down. I have seemed to snap out of that a little bit but now I am encountering another problem. I can’t stay asleep. I have been known to fall asleep on the couch around 9:30pm and then my husband so kindly wakes me up so I can get in bed. Again, I have no problem falling back asleep. The problem comes between 2:30-4:30am. I wake up EVERY night during this time. I usually have to go to the bathroom, sometimes twice a night. Then I cannot fall back asleep, so I lay there thinking of every possible idea that pops in my head. That is usually when everything that is going on in our life decides to pop into my head and I have to contemplate every possible outcome. I have tried just counting myself back to sleep, if I count then I won’t think of everything else. I then end up counting to ten over and over and over again. I have tried to stop drinking anything after 8pm, because I don’t want to wake up in the middle of the night and I still do. I cannot figure it out, I’ve always been one to wake up in the middle of the night usually around 5am, but easily fall back asleep, not this. Ryan likes to tell me you were asleep when I woke up, haha. He can sleep through anything. The likelihood of him actually waking up in the middle of the night is very slim. He did however comment the other day that I was up every time he was up. He did happen to wake up twice and both times I was wide awake, the difference is he fell back asleep in two seconds.  See, I was up, I'm not lying!  So at this point I don't know what to do!  I can't keep having such restless nights!

Weekend with the Paces

Going into this weekend Ryan and I were a little hesitant.  Ryan’s parents had asked us to come over on Saturday night for Mrs. Pace’s birthday.  She has asked specifically that we come over to go do something as a family and then spend the night.  They would not, however, tell us what we would be doing, which left us guessing for several weeks.  Ryan thought we were going to the Rodeo, playing put putt golf, riding go carts, you get the picture.  Turns out he was sort of right.  We went to Andretti Speed Lab.  The entire Pace family had been here except for me.  I have never been one for go carts, even as a child, my mother pointed out; I never liked to drive fast and would be lapped every time.  Andretti was no different.  From the moment we walked in I was a nervous wreck.  I knew I could not say no because Ryan would just make me do it anyway (he doesn’t let me off the hook, which is good and bad in a way). So next thing I know I’m putting a helmet on and heading out to the cars (not to mention I was not prepared, I had a skirt on).  I tried really hard to enjoy it but everything in me hated every minute of it and when they finally waved the red flag I felt a wave of relief.  The purpose of this track is to go as fast as you can, to go around as many times as possible.  I came in last place, I only went around nine times to everyone else’s 12, 13, 14 times.  We only raced once, thank goodness, and then played the arcade games for a while.  We went home to play Apples to Apples which has become a Pace tradition, it’s so funny!

Sunday was my sister’s birthday as well as Father’s Day.  This is nothing out of the ordinary for us, in the past we have mostly celebrated them together.  As always my dad is such a good sport about it.  We headed to the lake for some fun in the sun.  Then headed home for a very yummy dinner of pork tenderloin and corn on the cob, topped off with birthday cake and key lime pie (it is Father’s Day after all so, we had to do his favorite too)!  Unfortunately I forgot my camera, so no photos of the day.  We had a great time relaxing on the boat, the Lord knows we need it with the busy month we have ahead.  We are just three weeks away from Jenny’s wedding!

New Church Home

For as long as Ryan and I have been dating I have wanted to find a church home.  Over the course of our relationship we would occasionally go to his home church or my home church, but realistically we ended up not going more often than I would have liked.  Finally, at the start of 2009, I made him make me a promise that our new year’s resolution would be to find a church home.  So we made a huge effort to get involved.  We found a singles group at JFBC that meet every Sunday and hang out on Tuesday nights at a local coffee shop, it was perfect.  We truly enjoyed the class and the people involved.  They even went out to dinner to help me celebrate my birthday.  I couldn’t help thinking this was exactly what we needed.

Fast forward a few months to when Ryan and I get engaged.  I couldn’t have been happier, but also couldn’t have been busier!!  With the engagement, upcoming weddings of family and friends, family vacation time, football games and of course planning a wedding, we quickly fell out of our routine of going to church regularly.  We quickly lost touch with the friends we had made, which I regret, but that summer and then fall and winter spun out of control so quickly we honestly didn’t have time for them.  I hate that it sounds so selfish, but in my defense, I will only get married once so if there is a time to be a little selfish with what little down time I had, I think this was it.  But, I digress.

During our engagement process we went through three sessions of marriage counseling with my minister.  We discussed with him our struggles in getting settled in a church and what each of us would like to get out of a church home.  He suggested we try out Peachtree Presbyterian.  We didn’t begin going right away, I was still involved with several activities at my church, but tried it out a few weeks ago.  We first went to the contemporary service and unfortunately we showed up on a Youth Sunday.  While I love working with the youth and love seeing the youth actively involved and actively trying to grow their faith, youth Sunday is not a good day to try out a church.  We were a little discouraged but decided to give it another try, this time going to the 8:45am traditional service followed by a class for newly married couples.  We were so relieved, we instantly loved the minister and felt so welcome in the Sunday school class.  One of the girls in our class mentioned that the minister who preached the service we had been too typically does the contemporary service.  Unfortunately the next week was Memorial Day and we would be out of town.

Which brings me to this past Sunday.  We went back to the Sunday school class, this time combined with one of the other classes (people tend to get busy in the summer and not come, image that!) and I could not help thinking that this is where we are supposed to be.  Everyone was so friendly and welcoming.  We loved the message, the teacher, the people.  I cannot wait to see what comes of this class.  We also made a trip back to the contemporary service, which was phenomenal.  The minister I mentioned before was indeed preaching and did a wonderful job.  Ryan and I both felt such an instant connection to him and his sermons relate so well to daily life.  I am excited to finally be settling into a church that we can learn and grow.  Most of all I was so excited to see Ryan’s reaction to this church; he sang along with the songs we sang.  Now this may not be a huge deal, but it is to me.  I love to hear him sing and he so rarely will in church.  I am so grateful that we have found a place for us to grow together.  It feels a lot like coming home.

Blog / May Update

I decided it was time to spruce up my blog (maybe it will motivate me to keep writing). Thanks to my friend and now fellow blogger, Jessica, I found a great site for backgrounds and buttons and all of these wonderful blog tools that I never knew existed. There are so many cute backgrounds and I probably could have gone back and forth for hours, but then I saw this one and it was called Katie girl, so naturally I had to have it!

May has turned out to be a fairly busy month for us. Ryan has been working a lot, especially on the weekends, but we have also had a lot going on. In one weekend Jenny graduated, it was Ryan's birthday and Mother's Day. Needless to say it was a lot of really great family time. The next weekend Jenny had her second bridal shower hosted by two of my mom's closest friends. Instead of going on and on about all of these fun events, I thought I would just summarize with some pictures.

The Miracle League

My sister is the biggest baseball fan I know. She spends most of her free time looking up baseball facts about the Cubs and Braves. And now that it is officially baseball season, she is ecstatic. And with the start of baseball season, that means her league starts up too!! So in the spirit of springtime, I thought I would post some pictures of one of her games!!

The Miracle League is a great place where special needs children and adults can enjoy a game of baseball. The league started in 1999, and I guess I don't really know how long my sister has been playing, but I know it has been several years. They have a special field that can accommodate wheel chairs and make it easy to play on for those who have difficulty walking. Each player gets to bat in an inning and everyone scores, so that means everyone wins!! My sister plays for the Braves and they have never lost a game, I bet the real Braves wish they had her record! Click here for more information on The Miracle League.

Everyone has a "buddy" to help in the field and cover up when a big hitter is up! This is my dad with Hollywood aka Corey

Woo Hoo

So I haven't blogged all week because I have been trying to get ready for my friend's wedding this weekend. I have a good friend staying with me so I have been furiously cleaning my house in preparation. Not to mention today is tax day so I've been trying to get our taxes done. Yes, I realized I waited until the last minute and yes I did that last year and yes, I did say I would do them earlier next year but will probably yet again wait until the last minute. It is a vicious cycle that I can't stop. But I digress.

The good news I have to share is that my ugly, deep pot hole has been fixed! That's right, the city actually listened and fixed the pot hole. I won't mention that the filling is already sinking and will probably be back to where it was in a month and I asked them to repave the whole street, but they wouldn't, because the good news is my car will not sink into the deep abyss that was the hole! I came home from work last Friday and to my elation, it was fixed. I told Ryan we had to go out to dinner to celebrate. Now, I know this sounds a little ridiculous, but when you put your mind to something that you want and have to deal with the governement to get it, it's very rewarding when it is fulfilled.

Now on to my next mission...I'm trying to get my apartment complex to recycle. I have sent emails and voicemails with no response. I don't think this guy at the complex realizes who he is dealing with, I will get what I want! More to follow...

P.s. when I can find the time I will post my latest pictures! I took some of my sister's baseball game and I'm excited to share them!!

On a mission

One thing I noticed after Ryan and I got married is that we settled in and do not have much to do. I always heard it slows down after you get married, but I didn't really believe it. But, I have found I try to find ways to keep myself busy. As I said before, Ryan and I started playing Gin Rummy, but that was short lived, so I have had to find other ways to occupy my time. On Tuesday, I contacted Commuter Dude from 11Alive and let me tell you why.

Everyday, I come home from work and I feel like I’m on a test drive course, I have to swerve and dodge a million pot holes on my street just to get home. Ryan and I moved to Dunwoody because we thought it would be a nice area to start our lives together and we found an apartment we really liked. So we settled in, not realizing what our commute would be at the time. The road we live off of has so many patches, that aren’t really fixing the problem, as well as a huge hole at the front of our complex.

(picture does not do the hole justice, it is much deeper in person)

At first the pot hole didn’t bother me so much. I was driving the rodeo and if I’m being honest, I didn’t care about that car. I had been driving it for eight years and it was ten years old, so needless to say it was on its last leg. I didn’t expect to be getting rid of it when I did, but that’s a whole different story for a different day, but the point is, I have a new car. This is the nicest car I have ever owned and I would like to try to keep it nice for a long time. This is when my aggravation started. Being that I am not driving an SUV anymore, if my car were to accidentally succumb to this hole, I would die. I’m not trying to be to materialistic, but I love this car (not to mention the expense to fix it)!! So everyday on my way home from work I get a nervous feeling in my stomach as I approach our apartment complex. Am I going to miss it? Have I moved far enough over? Are there other cars coming that I might swerve into? As you can see, it’s a very stressful two minutes of my life. And with nothing better to do, I want it fixed. Hence, my email to Commuter Dude.

I was surprised to hear back from his assistant the next morning. She asked me to take a few pictures of the problem and give here a few more details about how deep the hole is and the exact location. So, I dragged (literally) Ryan outside with me to take pictures! He was not a happy camper, but came along anyways. Apparently he does not feel the need to fix the pot hole as much as I do. When I sent the pictures back I received a phone call minutes later. They want to put me on the show to talk about getting the road fixed. She said it is better when they can put people on air because it helps hold the city accountable for fixing the problem. I'm not so sure about being on TV, i just want it fixed, but it could be exciting. We still have to figure out if my schedule will work out, so I'll let you know if I will get my 15 minutes of fame! More to follow!

No internet

So I had promised to post some pictures from the bachelorette weekend in Savannah, however my internet does not work. And let me tell you why. Ryan moved into the apartment in december and I moved in after we got married in january, so we have been living there a total of four months. On average, I think our internet has worked for a month, and that is being generous. Now Ryan thought it would be a good idea to get a wireless router, which sounds good in theory but in reality it has mad it that much worse. We, meaning Ryan, messes with the router, the wires and anything he thinks may help for most of the night and it still cuts in and out. We have tried calling comcast and they say its not their problem, which I find hard to believe, but I won't go in to detail about why I hate comcast. So we must have something wrong with our router, but Ryan will not call the manufacturer, so I'm hoping that this will help move him along so we can finally browse the internet with ease. And if you would like to know how I managed to post this, I'm sitting outside on my lunch break typing away on my blackberry :) hopefully I will be back in action tonight!!

Short lived return...

I have returned (sort-of)...I have been sick for about a week and I just didn't feel like blogging...not to mention, I didn't have much to blog about sitting on the couch. I had every intention of downloading pictures and blogging about my fun weekend in Savannah for my good friend Jessica's bachelorette party, but I was easily distracted by American Idol tonight. I have always been sucked in by American Idol and have always been a dedicated fan, but this year it's like watching a train wreck, it's so bad you can't help but watch. I can't even name a favorite this year :/

And on another note, Ryan and I have started playing Gin Rummy at night. Right now we are tied at one each, and we are about to start a new game...results tomorrow night!! And I promise to have an update about Savannah tomorrow night too!!

P.S. we are very competitive, so I WILL win the rummy game!!

Weekend Update

This weekend was much more eventful than I originally thought it would be. Saturday started out with a deep clean of the apartment. If I’m being honest, it had been about two weeks since I last cleaned, so I got the hubby up early (9:30am, I know it’s ridiculous, he could have slept until 1pm or later if I had let him) and we set to cleaning. To my disbelief, he did not know how to clean a toilet or a shower, trust me, he does now!! I think we (or I) cleaned for a good two hours. There is nothing better than having a clean home!! We then set off to a couples shower for our good friends, Jessica and Danny. It was so nice to send time with good friends and good weather. We ended our night at my parent’s house, however the parents were gone!! Jenny and her fiancĂ© were nice enough to invite us over for dinner. It was a great evening, even though Kansas lost and really threw my bracket for a loop.

Sunday was such an exciting, yet sad day for us. Sunday morning I went to a reception for the 8th grade confirmation class. As most of you know, I work with the 8th grade girls on Wednesday night for small groups. It was such a joy to see the kids I have been working with over the past three years stand up and confirm to the church their beliefs. It was a great day for them and I pray that they remember that day and continue to grow in their faith.

On the other hand, when Ryan met me at church that morning he informed me that his Aunt Peg had past away early that morning. Peg is Mrs. Pace’s sister who has been battling cancer for a while and unfortunately she lost that battle. Ryan and Kevin left for the funeral Monday night, so they could be there with his family. I would have gone too, however Ryan thought it would be best for me to stay here since I’m sick and it would be such a quick trip. Thoughts and prayers for the Mrs. Pace and her sisters are appreciated.

Impromptu Weekend Away

So for those of you that don’t know, my husband is a die hard fan of Mississippi State. It is not just one sport; it’s all of them, particularly basketball though. So when MSU made the SEC championship game, naturally we had to take a trip to Nashville. We made up our minds to go at 8pm Saturday night and were on the road by nine. I slept the whole way:)

Sunday morning we got up to head off to the pep rally/send off at the Sheraton. Ryan was really excited because he got to meet two of his Miss State tweet buddies (they work for the university and constantly tweet about the sports programs at the school…). I don’t fully understand tweeting and I am just starting to get the hang of my blog…one thing at a time! Anyway, the game was really exciting! A good family friend of the Pace’s was able to get us tickets three rows behind State’s bench. It was pretty cool!! It was a very exciting game and we really thought State could pull out a win. Unfortunately, Kentucky got lucky and we walked away disappointed. Now when I say disappointed, it is an understatement as to how upset my husband was. I think the excitement of a possible win to the utter defeat of not making it in the tournament just sent him on a roller coaster of emotions. So what did I do? As a loving wife I sat silently until about 10:30pm and then yelled at him for ignoring me for the past six hours. :) I was very patient, but there comes a time when you just have to snap out of it. He is not one of those people that can not get over a loss quickly. He watches the games over and over until he is severely depressed over the whole thing. He then proceeds to watch every bit of commentary on the game. Again, severely depressing. What makes it a little bit worse this time is the critics were wrong; MSU probably deserved to have made it into the tournament. What can you do though? There is always next year right? Below are a few pictures of the game. Enjoy.

*On a side note, I have never been to Nashville and have always wanted to go, but when your team looses and the city is full of the opposing team (I have never seen so many Kentucky fans in my life!!), you just want to go home. I suggested we make a trip back sometime and I was very abruptly told NO, I am never going back to that city…we’ll see though, I think he just needs some time to cool off!

The Start of Something New

Welcome!

I have decided to start a blog! I've never been much of a writer and never thought of myself as a blogger, but I thought this could be fun! I found that I have some spare time lately, so why not?! I can't promise it will be well written or even entertaining, but it will be about me and my new husband as we start our lives together. And as it turns out, life does not slow down after you get married, it only speeds up. Life has been somewhat of an adventure the last few months, so tune in for more!
